The photography contest is open to the public. The images pictured in the photo should be taken locally.
The contest will have two age divisions: Youth age 13 and younger, and Adult age 14 and older.
The images should include some form of alternative transportation - not automobiles. They may be in color or black and white. No recognizable people in the photos, please.
All photography – including edits – must be the work of the submitter. A maximum of 3 works can be entered per person.

All images must be uploaded through contest site following upload instructions.
The email submission should include the photographer's name, age (for youth,) adult contact information (including phone number) and a little something about your image and where it was taken. The contact information will be used for the purpose of the photo contest only.

Beginning March 31, 2017, photos will be posted on aFewSteps.org and aFewSteps’ Facebook page. Submitters agree to allow aFewSteps to display images via digital media and print.
Deadline for submission is May 15, 2017.

For each age division, five to 10 finalists will be selected by a panel of three judges. Finalists will be selected based on creativity, composition and content.
The finalists will be announced at aFewSteps.org on May 16, 2017.

Beginning on May 16, 2017, the members of the general public will be able to vote for their favorite photo via online voting from the aFewSteps.org website.
Based on the results of the public voting, one winner will be selected for each age division.

All finalist photographs will be printed, individually framed, and displayed as a unit at various locations in the community throughout the fall and winter. At the end of the display period, the photographers may take home their photos.

By entering, you retain copyright and remain the owner of your images and may also continue to use them in any manner you choose. You agree that the images you submit may be used in printed aFewSteps materials, on aFewSteps.org websites, may be uploaded onto aFewSteps.org social media channels, or in any other media, and may be copied and displayed provided that you are given appropriate attribution as the photographer. The images y may also be used in small batch printing (on note cards, for example) to be sold to benefit aFewSteps.org, with appropriate photographer attribution.
