AWARD CATEGORIES

The Matrix Awards is an annual celebration held nationally and locally to recognize exemplary work in the communications field. 

Awards are presented in three categories:

The Headliner:  Salutes the outstanding personal and professional achievements of a prominent AWC Detroit Chapter member.

The Vanguard: Honors an individual or organization for innovatively employing a communications medium in 2017.

The Diamond: Honors an individual or organization for improving conditions for women in the workplace or portraying women positively in media.

Nominations must be received by Monday, February 26, 2018.

Please return this form along with a 250-300 word narrative that describes why the nominee deserves the award. AWC Detroit Chapter prefers that supporting materials be digital samples or URL links.

Nominations for individuals must include a photo (JPG or PNG file) and biography. If submitting physical materials, please call our administrative office to make arrangements. Supporting materials may be displayed and may not be returned.

For the Vanguard Award​, submissions must include at least one print or electronic copy of the innovative communications medium (publication, website screen prints, video clip, binder, DVD, etc).

Please note:​ Entries will be evaluated by members of the Matrix Committee and AWC Detroit Chapter Board of Directors. The judges reserve the right to move entries between award categories. PDF documents cannot be uploaded to our system at this time, so they will need to be emailed to our office (info@womcomdetroit.org)
