Flash Fiction is a complete story told in 750 words or less. The winning Flash Fiction story will be featured in the City of Port Coquitlam's Storywalk Program along the Donald Pathway.

Contest Details

Contest Details
Entries must be an adventure story, set in Port Coquitlam and include the word seed. Entries can be as short as 180 words, but no more than 750 words. Titles are not included in the word count. Entries must be original and not contain any copyrighted materials, including song lyrics etc. Contest is open to residents of Port Coquitlam of all ages. Staff of FVRL and the City of Port Coquitlam cannot enter.

CONTEST RULES

FVRL and the City of Port Coquitlam reserves the right to correct spelling and punctuation before publishing. Any significant edits will be checked with the author before publication. Keep the content of your story appropriate for all ages. All stories will become the property of FVRL and the City of Port Coquitlam. They may be printed and distributed to City facilities and online at future dates. Entries will be juried and scored. Winners will be contacted before July 1, 2020.
