Show off your Rain Check green tool for a chance to win prizes!

PWD is looking for striking images of your very own rain barrel, downspout planter, depaved area, permeable paver area, or rain garden looking great.


Upload photos from a computer or Instagram and fill out the entry form below by August 31st!

Photos must be of your installation, not a neighbor’s.

You may enter up to three photos per household. Please make sure they are high resolution only (at least 300 DPI) and are in one of the following formats: .tiff, .eps, .jpg, .png, .gif


PWD and PHS will select the top 25 photos. Public voting on the top 25 is open from September 16th – 30th, and will determine the top 3.


1st place: $100 gift certificate to a local urban farm and garden center

2nd place: PHS Membership (includes 2 adult tickets to the 2020 Flower Show)
*current PHS members will receive a 1-year extension on their active membership

3rd place:  2 tickets to the 2020 Philadelphia Flower Show - "Riviera Holiday"


Entry Form


By entering the contest, you hereby grant to the Philadelphia Water Department a nonexclusive, worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free license to reproduce, distribute, publicly display and publicly perform the photographs you submit.

All photographs should accurately reflect the subject matter and the scene as it appeared. Photos that have been digitally altered beyond standard optimization (removal of dust, cropping, reasonable adjustments to exposure, color and contrast, etc.) will be disqualified

Photos will not promote or endorse third-party products or services.

Your first name and last initial will be associated with your photo on the website. All other personal information will not be posted or shared (last name, address, or contact information).
