Sparking Young Creative Minds Through Science

Miss Liz the Science Wiz is available to bring interactive and fun science lessons to your classroom, meeting or party. Liz Boger teaches science to pre-schoolers, is an elementary school tutor, and an EcoLab Science Instructor at Marion Univertisy in Indianapolis, IN.

Using puppets and physical play to anchor basic, scientific concepts, Miss Liz refined her lessons for six years under author and educator Valerie Marsh Luzadder before taking puppets Peepers and Dr. Einstein on the road. The Plymouth Indiana born, mother of three will bring learning, laughter and love to your classroom, meeting, or party.

I'm a Snake. Watch Me Molt!

Miss Liz and her puppets will share some cool snake facts, and your students will climb into their snake skins for their hands-on (or hands off) experiment!

 

 

It Fell To The Ground. It's Gravity!

After reenacting Isaac Newton and the apple tree, students will predict and observe the force of gravity in their very own classroom. Using balloons and their large motor muscles, your kiddos will experiment and observe "what goes up must come down"!

Why Don't Spiders Get Caught In Their Own Webs?

Students will explore and experiment with different kinds of webs while using spider and insect manipulatives. Also, Miss Liz will discuss a spider's unique anatomy and how it is used to navigate in and around their webs. 

 

Let's Bee Pollinators!

Students will become birds, bees, butterflies, bats, and flowers as Miss Liz guides them through nature's pollinating process. Also, we will discuss the importance of pollinators and how they contribute to our food supply!

What's the Matter? Exploring Solids, Liquids, and Gases!

After reassuring our puppet friend, Peepers that nothing is really the matter, Miss Liz will explain that everything IS matter! This simple but very interactive program will help students recognize that everything in their physical world is classified as either a solid, liquid, or gas. Also, colors, shapes, and color mixing are reinforced in this fun lesson!
